Girls, that competition is in like 3 weeks!! We're almost there! :woot:

I feel so bad for Evan/Emily :no: I was really looking forward to seeing them this season now that they're on Team Igor...

It definitely shall!! Thanks for that. The Shibs and Marlie will also be competing, Emily and Evan are out, it should be an interesting competition. :)

NHK trophy Oct. 22-24 I think. The weekend before Skate Canada. That will be a great couple weeks :)
 
I know what you mean. I think T/S's optimism is a result of experience though. They used to let small things that went wrong in their programs bother them in their younger years, but in most of their senior years it has been all smiles no matter what :) I think they've learned to take minor mistakes with a grain of salt and not to dwell on the bad things. They just live in their happy little Tessa and Scott bubble :roller::sun: E/N have a lot of stress at the moment (what with their first senior year being the introduction of the SD) and they are pretty young/somewhat enexperienced so they don't seem to know how to enter bubbles or smile non-stop yet. But they'll learn :)

Exactly :nod: I totally have faith too! I think they'll be really good once they clean up the programs and all that fun stuff. What really got me, was the fact that they weren't even smiling at the end of the SD, they looked rather frustrated :lol: I think that's the one thing I love about TS...no matter what, at least Tessa's smiling and Scott's either smiling, or reassuring her or she's reassuring him and it's all good :lol:

:nod: yup! I just really hope they televise that event. I've been trying to look up what channels might show it but none of them have schedules up for October yet :(

That's the first thought I had too. What is the doping testing like for skating events? Is it random?

This lift is freakin intense...every time I sere it, I'll probably be afraid that Nikita will like topple over :eek:

I LOVED their footwork sequence...that always one of my favorite parts of the OD, and their footwork sequence here reminded me a bit of TS :lol:

I feel like I'll really love their SD by the end of the season...

Oh I agree...I'm not really upset they reused it either, plus I think they need more work on the SD and FD, so I think it's totally fine that they're reusing :nod:
 
WOW! a 30 minute fluff piece! That's hard to come by. I would LOVE to be able to understand what they're saying though. The couch part was so sweet :love:
I also thought it was cool to see them practicing ballet - it just shows how much work goes into a single program. And the footage of little Elena and Nikita was adorable, especially that turable :lol: I just may go on a .gif spree a little later...

Regarding their new programs:
I'm still a bit frustrated with the programs they went with for this year. It's unfortunate that they picked the same music as T/S and P/B for their short dance, but I feel like they still make the music their own by interpreting the choreography and movements uniquely. In both their programs their speed is very impressive! However, the details of unison in the step sequences and twizzles could be improved upon, but there is still time for that. Their spins in the FD are my favourite I think. Very creative. I really believe they have not reached their full potential yet, so I'm waiting for the day they have great programs that bring out the best.:)
 
Yeah it's weird cause first I thought she was like praising them but when you read on she actually states how disappointed she was, which actually surprises me :shrug:

Ok, I'm not actually gonna translate word for word cause it's not actually a pleasant review. She said that she thinks these two are very talented but they didn't have a positive effect on her. They've had a long time to clean up the programs and it seemed like they just put the program together a half hour before the show. It wasn't as good as they claimed it would be. They claimed that seniors better watch out, but that's definitely not what it seemed like. They may be able to prepare the programs by Deceraber, but for now it's just quite disappointing...

Something J&D esque would be adorable :nod: What did TS do their first year? Oh yeah they did Black Magic Woman and Tennessee Waltz...I don't see EN doing anything like that :lol:

Yeah - it's probably a standard muscle shot or something - I don't think competition allows too many drugs beforehand?

Oo awesome! It's actually a TS avi request though :lol: I saw the pic on the slideshow today, so I couldn't save it, so now I just have to find it so that I can post it...I'll check to see if it's on the TS thread...

I can't wait for the season to start for us to get some more pics of these two...
