I am going to do a DIY Electronics kit, the LKG Industries kit # 80-240 Logic Probe. Also the 80-230 Op-Amp Function Generator. I have a two year degree in electronics and have done some light electronics work on the job. But I've never soldered up an entire PC board from scratch. In class we worked with small projects at any one time, mostly on bread boards.
Any tips on where to start? From the middle out, no matter what component I come to....just physically solder in from the middle out until reaching the edges?.....or solder in certain components first, maybe because certain components are harder to work with than others. Resistors being easiest and IC's being more difficult. Any suggestions? I don't want to burn anything. I want to get it right the first time...nice and neat. I was a certified IPC soldering specialist.
I have to change careers from JetMech to something else because aircraft mechanics are going backwards in America, so I thought I'd try this. Thanks
Peter K you said "ok" but nothing else. What did you say "ok" to?
John...."best contributor"....oh really? Nothing better to say than that? What's the point?
