Everytime that I am watching a show and the screen gets saturated with a bright color, it gets what sounds like a ground hum. Any ideas as to what it might be?

It sounds like a minor capacitor reflux in the center of the transistor realignment cortex.

If you want to fix it you'll have to go get the breast milk of an Argentinean mistress, light six black candles, and set them up around you in a triangle. Drink the breast milk while standing the triangle of candles; you will then be transported to the magical kingdom of Narnia. There you must find a talking walnut by the name of Chad; he will tell you where you can find the Pool of a Thousand Dreams, it is only there you can find the answer you seek.

the CRT magnet is probably starting to die. A lot of brightness can overload a weakening projector since it has to emit a lot more cathode rays. Might be time to replace it.
