Electronic hood latch- 1989 Cadillac...?

I have a 1989 Cadillac that has an electronic hood release. Problem is that the battery is dead, so much so even the hood control solenoid won't pop the main latch. Is there a manual override of any kind? the secondary finger latch does not seem to be part of the main latch and is not working to release the hood.
 
if you cant find another way, do this.
Using jumper cables you can charge the batt enough to open the hood.
Under your car there is a big red cable connected to the starter. This is also connected to the batt positive terminal.
So just like jump starting a car.
Attach the red booster cable to that red cable on the starter.
And then attach the black booster cable to the frame of the car which is connected to the batt neg terminal.
you now have power to your car and can unlock the hood.
