Electronic Gremlins with my new Suzuki? Dealer can't figure it out!?

I've had my 08 Suzuki GSX 650 F "Katanna Replacement" for nearly a year now. I've only put 2400 miles on it, and it did have it's full service stop at the 580 mile mark at the dealer.

Glitch #1 - If the bike sits for more then a day, and you don't let it idle for at least 5 minutes before riding, it tries to kill you if you don't know what to look out for! When accelerating around 4th or 5th gear, when you pull in the clutch the engine is running fine, but when you shift down to 5th or 6th the engine TURNS OFF BEFORE YOU LET THE CLUTCH OUT! I caught it the very first time, and know I know what to look out for. The Mechanics can't figure it out?

Glitch #2, the really annoying one. - When riding the bike, it will slowly begin to spit and sputter. Not bad at first, but as a couple miles go by, the engine is loosing power, surging, and idling weird. I know it's going from 3 cylinders to 4 over and over just from experience with my old cars. BUT IT ONLY DOES IT EVERY NOW AND AGAIN? I can ride it 10 times before it will mess up again?

The mechanics could not make the bike do it for them, and they said try gas stabler. So I did, ran the tank dry and filled up again. She ran good, but then it messed up again? And the tank was about 1/2 full, so I ran 2 gallons without the engine messing up, so I don't think it's fuel?

So, any ideas? Anybody else having issues with the first model year of this bike? Or is my Suzuki just possessed and dosen't like me?

1 bad diode in the start safety switch circuit,
2 hanging float or intermittent icu
3 there is nothing you can pour into the tank to fix squat. Tell us what city and someone can recommend a competent mechanic to verify the diode and icu
