help me answer these questions, like teacher gave us woksheet, first few were easy, but like the next are like wtf is going on. here is the questions
a 0.2g sphere is suspended by a thread in an electric field of 5000 N/C that is difrected strait upwards. the tension in the thread is 2.16 x 10^-3. find the charge on the sphere.
so as far as i got, i worked out that
F= ma = eq
m = 0.0002kg
a = 9.8ms^2
e = 5000 N/C
so therefore ma = eq
q = ma/e = (0.0002 - 2.16x10^-3) (tension from thread))x9.8/5000
= -3.92x10^-7
the answer is -3.2 x 10^-8 but i keep ketting it wrong
