I don't know about 06,but a friend of mine had an 03 and it was the crimp issue. I would say that if your's is shuting down, feel the wires going to the breaker and relays, if one or two are hot that could be your problem.

I agree with several of the other post.
&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Remove and recrimp the terminal ends, I have seen this on a few bikes and it cured it, simple to do and cheap to.

Intereresting.... My '03 Ultra now has 43K miles and just experienced the same issues of loving electrical and engine dieing...then restarting in a couple of minutes. I will be changing the 3 components mentioned. Any other updates on this issue?

one other item to add for you guys with the 03 ultra classics that is a known problem and happened to my dad. The fuel injector wiring is stretched way to tight from the factory and is a known issue that can cause the bike to shut down and or cut out they had to add a new harness for the injectors to my dads bike when we finally traced it down thanks to some members on this site.

If all the other recommendations fail to solve your problem..I would then remove the trailer wiring and see if your problem goes away.

Hello
I have the same problem with my 2003 100 Anniversary Ultra Classic. I have replaced the main circuit breaker 3 times this summer and it is on better. I have had it into the dealer for 3 days and it would not trimp the breaker but on my way home it died. This is just my bad luck. But I am looking at replacing the voltage regulator, it could be degrading and triping the breaker. My bike always runs bad after the breaker resets as if it is loosing power or the timing is off. The volt gage shows 14+ but I never have time to read it when the bike dies, the guy that replaced the egnition switch my be on the right track. The switch is down stream from the breaker and is under constant voltage when the engine is running. I well let you know if I change the regulator or the switch.

My bike was in the Harley shop for a week and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. No codes in the computer to indicate what the problem might be. They did replace the circuit breaker again so time will tell. I have over 40K miles on mine before it died the first time so who knows what is going on.

To the last poster with HD dying. Is the HD restarting? If it is, you might want to check the Bank Angle Sensor, this will shut the bike off like a switch. They did have issues with the early BAS switch mounting, like 1999, maybe the issue resurfaces now and then.

ok , guys.... several answers here that all seem good...
I have a 03 EG Classic, 32k miles. Mine did the complete shutdown today about 6 times before I could get home. NO power at all, engine quit, guages , lights , even reset the clock on the radio when power came back up in about 30-45 seconds. So, I was thinking to replace the circuit breaker as noted in the recall and might as well re-crimp the terminals while at it. But , could it be the ignition switch? and some have said the 2 relays at rear of battery. One is called a ignition switch relay......Just want to be sure before I get stranded...Thanks Guys!
