Electrical Contractor Business?

I am a Journeyman Union Electrician and I was thinking about starting up a little side business. I was thinking of getting some insurance and doing smaller residential electric jobs at nights and on the weekends. I live in PA. Would I have to have an official name for the company and what exactly would I have to do for this to be legal? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
