electric cars can't you see they are bad?

I just saw that yahoo is advertising as news how you can make your car electric, the only pro to this is the fact that you can save some money. There are no or very little environmentally good things about them, they try to say that they are better for the environment because they dont give off emissions but they do! What is used to make the electricity for the car? COAL which has the same effect as oil, and if everyone stopped using oil in the car im sure the amount of coal needed to make the electricity for these cars would more then likely make up for it. What are your thoughts?
 
Hey whats a little acid and lead going to hurt. Don't be that way be GREEN :-(

Some day they will get the part about energy is neither created or destroyed it is only transferred to a different form.
