Yes, that would be related to blood vessel dilation due to the increased heat. I've been to Pottsville - its warm now, ditch the blanket

There are lots of reasons for the swelling of hands and feet...I've had both. Swelling can be a side effect of many medications (in my case meds for high blood pressure), it can be a result of too much sodium in the diet, kidney problems, heart problems, etc.

I don't know if an electric blanket can cause swelling or not...but I can tell you that I sleep with my electric blanket on "high/9) all night, and I have no swelling.
