I was reading that question about a girl's "short" skirt that 2 older women complained about, and it reminded me about something that happened to me this past winter -- I was called a "prostitute" in public.
Let me explain. I was with a friend and we were walking back from class. We were both wearing winter coats, hats, full pants, boots, gloves, and shawls/scarves. Pretty much, all that was exposed to the elements were my eyes. (It was in snowy January)
And this elderly woman walked up to us and looked at me, like looked me up and down. Then said "prostitute", made a disgusted face, and walked away.
I turned to my friend. We were both confused. Had that woman actually seen how other people dress these days? Yeah, if I dress in a revealing manner, so does 90% of the population.
Anyway, why did she say that -- and more importantly, would you ever say that just because someone is a teenager they MUST also be a prostitute? Thanks.
They were baggy sweatpants, and as I already said in the question, FULL LENGTH (not ankle length in January, thanks).
Boots have no heels. They're just regular winter boots, the waterproof kind with lining.
Coat is black and baggy. It's my brother's old coat.
I don't wear make-up at all (allergic).
My hair was hidden under the hat, but no, it's black (natural colour, I'm South Asian).
I wasn't wearing earrings at all. I never wear them.
I didn't talk to anyone in a car, or for that matter, I wasn't even talking to the friend next to me because both our mouths were hidden lol!
You find that? I find that you're exactly like the old women -- you ASSUME things you have no idea about. Any chance you'll actually come back to this question to see your errors?
