Eighties Teen Movies.

The Wraith was on BBC1 last week. I haven't seen it for years and it was good to see again. Good car chases in it and Charlie Sheens character was pretty cool.

I haven't ever seen Can't Buy Me Love on TV. It was a fun Patrick Dempsey movie.

there only one 80s movie for me

adventures in babysitting - it is the ultimate 80s teen movie IMO.

ALSO i know its not made in the 80s but

10 things i hate about you - is the best teen movie LIKE EVER! IM0
IF YOU love teen movies then youll love that

My personal favourite is Night of the Comet. I also love Don't Tell Mom The Babysitters Dead, although this was released in '91 it does look and feel very 80's.

The outsiders is also one of the best and it features a huge cast of teen actors who would go onto become stars such as Rob lowe, Emilio estevez, Matt dillon, Tom Cruise and C. Thomas Howell

Oh yes, starred a young Val Kilmer if I remember.

Also another vote for Can't buy me love. Patrick Dempsey also made a film with Helen Slater called "Happy Together" and one called Loverboy. Anyone remember "Back to School" with the late great Rodney Dangerfield? He also starred in Caddyshack.

Another little known John Cusack film was "One Crazy Summer" also starring that crazy actor Bobcat Goldwait.

One film no-one seems to remember is "The Hunchback Hairball of L.A." about a Hunchback living in the bell tower of a school campus,

Adventures in Babysiting has been one of my favourite films since I saw it on TV once years and years ago under the title A Night On the Town.

The cast are adorable and I find it even funnier as an adult.

It's also got one of the most underrated soundtracks. All those wonderful oldies songs!

I'm 25 and this film is still my ultimate "cheer up" movie.

I watched running on empty for the first time several years ago - river pheonix and martha plimpton had such brill chemistry one of my favourite films. I was only born in 86 and did not watch the film until mid teen years just loved the story from start to end. One of my favourite 80s films. That and Dirty Dancing of course and Top Gun.

I agree with alot of posts on here The Breakfast Club was brilliant, as was Ferris Buellars Day Off, seeing Camerons face when the Ferrari goes out the window, Classic:cool:.

But one that hasn't been mentioned, or at least think hasn't been mentioned is Young Guns which is brat pack of the wild west. I'd have to say The Breakfast Club is my fav though:D.

ferris bueller's day off wins every time for me!

classic lines

ed rooney: i don't trust this kid any further than i can throw him!
grace: well with your bad knee ed, you shouldn't throw anybody

ed rooney: ferris bueller is behind this there is no doubt in my mind, and now he's got sloane peterson involved as well
grace: her grandmother too!
ed rooney: you.....pinhead!

teacher: bueller........bueller.........bueller.........bueller
