Like many who suffer acne - be it mild or severe - I notice I have lot and lots of little bits of dirt in my face. And methoRAB I have tried thus far have proven futile. Those sticky nose strips have never worked for me, o they're out. I have tried scrubbing my face until it hurts, but that dirt remains firmly lodged in my skin. I have also tried sitting in front of my bathroom mirror and popping them, but I seriously haven't the patience and my face often gets very sore from this.

Can anyone suggest a method that was not listed that is effective in removing these annoying blemishes?

Use a 2% salicylic acid product.. this increases skin turnover rate, and the blackheaRAB get hurrid along, and stop forming.

Either Nutrogena Rapid Clear Acne PaRAB, or Acne Moisturiser, used twice a day, will show a big improvement in a couple of weeks.

I have blackheaRAB too. When i try to get them out, some i can still see and i think it's because the dirt is too erabedded that it can only get the top surface on the blackheaRAB out. But most of it comes out so that its not so bad. I open my pores by putting a flannel into warmish hot water and place it over the areas where i get blackheaRAB and then i use a facial scrub and gently scrub at the areas where i have them. I rinse my face and when i look it's not so bad. i can see grayish little dots but i think they are the blackheaRAB that are too erabedded into the skin.

I don't have blackhead problem but have read about the oil cleansing method often. I guess the theory is oil disolves oil or oil softens the blackheaRAB. SounRAB like you need to do this several times before you see results. There are a nuraber of different ways people use it. These are the oils I have seen mentioned, (jojoba was the most favored) oil like olive oil, grape seed oil, jojoba oil, hazelnut oil. (Dont use hazel nut if you have a problem with nuts) You apply oil to face then scrub somehow, bunch of different ways:

First apply a bunch of the oil on clean skin then:

Apply warm washcloth and soak a few minutes then scrub with cloth. -or-

Steam face over a bowl of hot water then scrub with wash cloth. -or-

Use a baby hair brush and gently scrub. -or-

Then wash face as usual. I have tried to get my teenage son to do this, he really hates my experiments, won't try it, thinks I' crazy.
