Each of the electrons in the beam of a television tube has a kinetic energy of 9.0 keV. The tube is oriented so that the electrons move horizontally from geomagnetic south to geomagnetic north. The vertical component of Earth's magnetic field points down and has a magnitude of 47.0 ?T.
A) In what direction will the beam deflect? (north, south, east, west, up, down)*
B) What is the acceleration of a single electron due to the magnetic field?*
C) How far will the beam deflect in moving 20 cm through the television tube?
For parts A and B, I already got the correct answers... for A the answer is "east", and for B the answer is 4.64E14 m/s^2.
I'm stuck on part C though... any help would be great.
