my shit just broke tonight. i was gonna call customer service tomorrow but i bet they'll have a ton of calls about this shit. god damn. mine just broke tonight thanks to a real spaz. i guess nintendo heard the people's demands.

I think that's retarded. I've tried the console and the strap is perfectly fine for a "normal" use of the console. Of course there's going to be people swinging that thing wildly around but thats their problem and should replace the strap themselves if they think it's too weak for what they're doing. On the other hand, Nintendo is doing this to try to cover their asses from lawsuits...what a sad world this has become. Because you made improper use of a product and damaged something, this shouldn't give you the right to sue the compagny.

At least they are doing something about it instead of ignoring it. Gonna hurt them a little but with the profit they have made, its not gonna be much.

But that requires work to get the old straps off and put the new ones on. I'm getting enough of a workout playing Wii anyways.

Ordered four for all my controllers. Smart move on doing it before a lawsuit became public. Although they are going to ship after Christmas, and I'm brining my Wii on my Christmas vaction. Hopefully none of my cousing roughhouse too hard with my generation one straps!

That's pretty lazy

I'm not worried about me breaking my straps. But I can't say the same for my idiot friends. They've already broken one due to lack of mental fortitude.

i have 2 wiimotes, but sold the other ones on ebay, so i ordered 4 anyways

looks like people who bought wiimotes and dont have a system will have to wait. well i guess it doesn't matter because they have no reason to use it without a system anyways

Funny thing is, 1 of my remotes has a thick string and the other has a really thin one.

I think for Europe, they fixed a few of them already.

Also, my sensor bar cable stretches my whole room. Its about 6-7 meters in length. Im sure people were complaining about the length of the cable also. The cable for me gets in the way, its too long.
