educational requirement for joining the army?

i was trying to join the navy for the last few weeks but unfortunately i have a diploma from an adult school which the navy wont accept unless i take college and get 15 college credits. i need to get into the military soon so ive decided to join the army, i was wondering if an adult school diploma would be accepted in the army because i read that they take diplomas and diploma equivalents, what exactly qualifies as a diploma equivalent? and would i be able to join the army with an adult school diploma?
and i scored a 66 on the asvab
