I'm 20 years old, male, 6' 2", 180lbs
I've been on accutane for the past 6 months and am only seeing mild results. My acne wasn't considered severe to begin with, but it was persistent and other medications weren't helping. I started taking 40mg a day the first month, 80mg a day the second month, and for the past four months I've been taking 120mg a day.
For those of you out there who have had successful experiences with this medicine, how long did it take you to completely clear and when did you start to notice results? After a while, does the medicine just automatically start working or is it gradual?
Also, for those who know anything about the proper administration of this drug, am I taking the correct dose for my size? I have been on some forums where people aren't taking nearly as much, but are similar in size and seeing results...
Finally, will accutane eventually start to work for me? In other words, after a certain point doesn't the medicine just have to shut down the glands in my pores?
