Like I said, I'd like to see a chart which shows how long it takes to get a visa which allows you to enter the US and be legally allowed to work.

That's the only one which has relevance to legal vs. illegal immigration
 
The employers are obviously trying to hire skilled workers wherever they can find them, and if they're willing to go through the immigration process vs. hiring someone already here, then they're almost certainly the best applicant.

So there's obviously a demand, and a supply ready to meet that demand, but it's being artificially limited.
 
I see no problem with that.

The "cleverness" of the cartoon presumes that foreigners are ENTITLED to come here, and our mean ol' immigration laws are interfering with their human rights.

We have the right to say nobody comes in unless they have skills or education that will benefit the US.
