im just curious on edge/EDGE ... it seems that i only get it when im at certain places. but my gf just got a curve (thru ATT/Cing) and she gets edge everywhere. isnt edge/EDGE faster than GPRS/gprs ?! like last night i was at a bar down pittsburgh (sing sing - dueling piano bar) and i get edge... and mostly when im down pittsburgh. y would my girl have edge and i dont when we are at the same place?
 
Re-register your host routing table. Options, advance options, host routing table, register.

Also, try resending service book.

you're on two different networks, gixxer. AT&T has a far larger data coverage area than Tmobile. if you want to receive reception like hers, you're gonna need to change providers.
 
just alil update to this post to inform some ppl. today i went to the mall and went by the tmo booth, i seen on here where ppl were saying bout u can get a backup sim card free. so i stopped by and asked if they coudl do that cuz i said my card is old - its over 2 yrs old and i use to own a razr and it came out of that. so the lady made me a new card and said look at ur card and look at a new one she said since its so old u might pick up alil better reception. well i noticed i had edge network where i usually didnt before so it helped alil, like the one person said bout reregistering in advance options... that might of worked too, i dunno. cuz when she switched my sim card it reregistered everything, had alil trouble getting my internet icon to show up but the lady called and got it back on... but just wanted to say if anyone is using an old/older sim card id get a new one - its free... it helped alil bit.
 
how did u pick up on cingular/att towers? cuz thats one of a very few dead spots where i dont get reception - is at her house, thats y she went with cing/att cuz they get reception. i get tmobile if i go like half a mile up the road though. my pearl is unlocked i tried to manual search - found cingular but it wouldnt connect. i have the unlimited data plan. is there some way i can get on cinulars network at my girls house then?
