"Eden of the East" Talkback (Spoilers)

Or "Messiahs" depending on how you hear it/understand it and what not. That does make sense.. that they would be tailed. Makes me wonder even more what kind of business that Kondou is in.

Sorry for the necrobump, but the trailer for the first movie is out.

Thoughts? Mine are I love Saki's new hair style and the fact that she's got Akira's jacket on. Too cute.

Catching up

What kind of organization gives that kind of power to Joe Schmoes so that they can be "saviors" to the people. Talk about absolute power corrupts. I'm interested on what is really going on. I want to see what other kind of people wield the power of Nobless Oblige

According between main sites and insight, people like Akira are supposed to spend the money, but for the "betterment of Japan." If they fail do to so, guys like the detective do their duty and hunt down the corrupts.

Was alright....

Just...just alright.

I mean, it was definitely a good movie on it's own and it had a lot of interesting parts but it felt more like a really, really long episode of exposition/humor/setup for Movie II which is where most likely the real action is going to go down. There were many an amusing moment though like, Pantsu showing up to make everyone remeraber what it means to be a NEET, Nuraber VI and his exploits (why was he there?) and the entire beginning of the movie with Saki in NYC (speaking of which, as a denizen, I loved the insane amount of accuracy of Grand Central and the shops around it)

The OP was weird as heck. Next time, you probably should just get Oasis again IG. The ED was amazing though.

Can't wait for the final movie.

[strike]I can't be the only one who wanted a SakiXAkira shower scene[/strike]

Oddly enough, that's how I feel about God right now. Which is part of the reason my family's increasing preference for Christian/gospel music is driving me batsh*t insane.

In other news, I'm finally going to view the 2nd episode. It's been the equilvalent of jumping through hoops from me but this is the most excited I've been for an anime series in a long time. Even Shangri-La hasn't excited me this much.

I was just looking at episode 2 and I have yet to see anything annoying with th-WHAT? Parental Abanoment?! AGAIN?!

The end shows that there can be no witnesses.

Also, Lion... King?

Summer Wars is like..untouchable. In fact, I think I'm going to make a thread about that amazing movie now.

EDIT: Ah, I see there already is one. Off to post

This is working up to be a really nice show. The cast is interesting, the art work and animation are great and to top it, the character designs are from the creator of Honey & Clover.

My only issue is why does the Hanamoto looking cop have to be the bad guy? =[

I don't know if I like where this is going.

Even though we knew before hand of the two movies, the fact that this movie was basically about nothing irritated me a little. The film just trudges along with no sense of direction, and events, and the characters that caused them, had no effect to the story what so ever. The camera guy was a pointless character, and the guy on the boat who created The Air King was just as pointless. The Air King itself was pointless. It could have be syrabolic for a revolution of the people to save their country, and have his meaning of "king" translate to him being the leader of the revolution. But instead, it went no where, threw in non sense about him being the love child of the Prime Minister. The whole "tanker-Juiz" thing should have been explained. I actually had no idea what they were until I visited this page.

This film is a un-eventful mess. Though Juiz is getting interesting, with her acting differently (in tone of voice) to each of the Selecaos. Might lead up to an unexpected plot twist, but with how this is going so far, they'll probably screw it up.

More time should have been put into the creation of this plot. Things are just not making sense. The only thing I missed was the tanker trucks at the end, but I understood everything else. The plot just sucks.

Yeah, your "Supporter" comes and kills you. I wonder who your "Supporter" is? I doubt it'd be Juiz as she just seems to be a person at a Central Office sort of person, so hrm. I wonder if it's someone like Misae.

You weren't. :/ I wanted a little romance at least and we hardly got any at all. I loved the series and touted it as one of the better ones in a while.. but I was really let down by the film. :/ I hope the second is better.
