I am have some trouble with an economics question. A 12 year old is babysitting her little sister and receives 20$ per week form her parents. The question is whether the 12 year old is employed, unemployed, not in the labor force or not in the adult population. Obviously the 12 year old is not in the adult population because she is under 16. But the she fits into the definition of employed since she is working for pay. what is the correct answer?
is the 12 year old considered in the labor force if considered employed?
