when replacing an ECM on a 97 silverado, does all of the numbers have to be the same on the ECM?
Reason I ask, is the Service number matches many i have looked at, but the long serial number doesnt, will have a couple digits different. And also heard that i would have to have the dealer program the ECM to my VIN number, if true, anyone know how much that would cost? thanks
