I'm no fan of the source material at all, but as a fan of film, you have to at least take a look at the trailer.

Dear God, its awful. Its broody, broody, broody. They build up action and threat and then pull it straight back to broody and shirtlessness again. Totally misses the point of a trailer for this. They aren't advertising it to the people who want to see that stuff, because they already know they're getting that stuff and lap it up anyway. The trailer should be convincing people its more than that.

Kevin Smith's observations on it were spot on. Its tween girl Star Wars... and a whole lot ruder (but accurate)
