Does anyone know how to get channels for the echostar digital satellite system?

You need to be more specific afraid - do you have an Echostar and want to know how to use it, are you thinking about Echostar and want advice on it, or do you just want to know what free digital channels are out there with a motorised system (and if so, what sort of system are you looking at?)

It's for my friend, he's not being very specific. All he says that he gets Turkish channels (he's Turkish) and wants to know if you can get english channels. He wants the frequency numbers. He says he pay no subscription fee for the Turksih channels

Are you talking about an echostar receiver or the EchoStar satellite fleet ???

The EchoStar satellites (EchoStar 1,2,3, etc.) carry hundreRAB of English language channels from the USA , but you can't get those satellites in Europe because they are beyond the horizon :'(

Not strictly true, there's the God channel on 42E and CNBCe shows a lot of English (American) language programming - with Turkish subtitles.

Hate to be a wet blanket on it, but if your friend can't be more specific, we can't be more specific on answers - kind of like the difference between saying 'my car's broken' and 'I have a flat tyre'.
