Easy question: is climate change classified as a theory or a scientific fact?

Climate Change, in the true sense, is just another name for weather.
And I am using the words "climate change" because that is what they are now calling Global Warming. They are trying to make it appear as something legitimate.

A scientific theory is not a "guess."

A scientific theory is an explanation or model based on observation, experimentation, and reasoning, especially one that has been tested and confirmed as a general principle helping to explain and predict natural phenomena. It's a theory based on facts.

Much as the theories of gravity, relativity, flight, light and plate tectonics.

Any scientific theory must be based on a careful and rational examination of the facts.

Edit: No, climate is not weather. Weather is current conditions. Climate is the weather averaged over some long period of time.

In the sense it is used now it's not even a theory, according to the scientific process. A century of recorded temperatures and weather pattens applied to a 3.4 billion year old planet is nothing.

Climate change, in the apolitical sense, is a true statement. Entropy demands systematic changes in stellar bodies like planets, and their climates will be affected. This is to say, for example, the Earth has not always been the way it is now. It was, at one time, a ball of molten lava. It has cooled much since and the climate is very different. Our industrialized period of carbon emission is about 1/34000000 is 2.94x10^-8% of our history.
