This an excellent film with Viggo Mortenson amd Naomi Watts.

However, due to loud noise at the time, I missed what Viggo said to Naomi when she asked him at the end "Why are you helping us??"

So, does anyone know WHY he was helping her family above any other?

Yes, I did watch all the film and realised the exact role of Viggo's character. What I couldn't understand was that there were lots of innocent young girls being drugged and abused by this particular nasty family, so why did he help the Naomi character? Now, with Dave's help, I understand perfectly....she gave him (Viggo) the evidence/ammo to unseat the father.
