Earth Science or Biology?

I am going to be a freshman next year and most of the kids in my grade will be taking Earth Science. At my old school (in another state) I was recommended for Biology. My question is, do you think Bio is too hard for a 9th grader? Back in my home state, Bio would have been taught so it was easy for 9th graders to understand, but here the class will be mostly 10th graders so I'm thinking it will be taught at a faster pace, possibly faster than I can handle. I'm thinking if I take it now, it will open up my senior year if I would like to continue in the science field.

People who have had experience with this please answer.

Depends on your future career.

Biology is required for doctors, nurse, pharmacists, etc.
Earth Science is required for astronomers, archaeologists, environmentalists, etc.

Personally I would go for Bio because even though it's harder Bio gives you a solid foundation if you become a doctor. I mean scientists are great too but their livihood is dependant on their discoveries but doctors have a constant wage and is always in demand.

It's up to you.

I've taken both classes
It depends what you like
Earth science is like astronomy, classifying rocks, talking about the enviroment and how it's affecting the earth's atmosphere,

Biology is more like genes, systems of the body, learning the job of cells, food webs and how energy is transferred from organism to organism, water cycle, using a microscope.

Personally, I enjoyed Biology MUCH better than earth science.

It also depends on what teacher you have for the class.
