Earth science major?????????????

While many schools offer courses and degrees in geosciences and/or earth science those with real geology departments can give a BS/MS/PhD in geology. Look for these course offerings:

Structural Geology
Field Camp
Stratigraphy
Sedimentology
Petrology (igneous and metamporphic) are a few.
 
im planning on majoring in earth science, but i would like to know if with that major you can pursue a career in becomning a geologist?? or geoscientist??? please answer thnx!!!
