Earth science how rocks can change into other rocks?

This is the "question": Choose two pairs of rocks used in this investigation. Write a brief description that explains how one rock can change into another.

The rocks I used during my tests were:
Anthracite
Bituminous Coal
Conglomerate
Gneiss
Granite
Marble
Obsidian
Sandstone
Shale
and Slate

Can anyone help me?
It has something to do with the rock cycle...?
