How would you describe the sun's movement (starting at noon when the sun is highest) over a span of 30 minutes?

I am curious

Actually, the sun is not moving. It is the rotation of the earth that makes the sun appear to move across the sky.

The sun, moon, and everything else in our sky appears to move (due to Earth's rotation) at the rate of about 15 degrees of sky each hour.

15 degrees is about 30 times the apparent diameter of the sun.
So in half an hour, the sun appears to move about 15 times its own diameter (sounds crazy, but its true).
That motion is towards the west, because the Earth rotates west to east.
