Hi, I'm currently doing my first year of A levels, but we're starting to have to think about university courses to do in the future... I really enjoy geography (the physical side) and I really enjoy science. I'm an A grade student, and I'm probably going to do well in my subjects. I think a course like geography would be too soft, plus I like and am really good at science as well.
I was thinking a course in earth sciences or geology would probably be ideal, but what do they involve? I currently take chemistry, physics, geography and maths at A level. I've never studied geology as a standalone subject, but it's touched on in geography and chemistry. I really enjoy fieldwork in geography, and I've always wanted to travel the world.
I take it there are some experienced scientists and geologists in this section, so could you maybe tell me what courses are like at university, what they involve and whether you think I'd enjoy them. Also what specific courses are there in this general area?
Thanks
