Ear Infection

Yerp. Sorsha's got one. She's on amoxicilin, which so far has done nothing to her, except upgrade her to blowing serious ass instead of farting.

My mother in law has recommended keeping the ear with the infection down against something soft, to relieve pressure on the eardrum (the infection is in her right ear, btw). So far it seems to be working.

Any other ideas? She started on the amoxicilin Weds. night, and she's got a follow-up on Monday.

The ear infections didn't stop with my son until he had tubes put in his ears.

^yeah that...it takes a while to work...they give a baby lower concentrations

anti biotics give me the hershy squirts, but TOTALLY help the infection. i would keep her on them because she could get worse without. it sucks and her little tummy probably hurts bad, but just make sure she isn't eating things that make the runs worse. i'm sure you can find them online.

kids warm compress worked quite well. Its worth a shot at least I guess. Hope things improve. Ear problems = no sleep for parents. :thumbsdn:

She seems to be doing pretty good. I don't think her ear is hurting anymore. Tomorrow is her last day on the antibiotics. The amoxicilin didn't upset her in any way, thankfully.
