EA using only 20% of PS3's muscle

What does that have anything to do with wii fans?

It's not like first gen games use any decent portion of a brand new system

Heard the same shit about the original xbox. And guess what, the graphics really didn't get 80% better over time.

I wonder how much of 360's power is being used>

I think he's talking about the cells processing power, not the gpu. That is a good question though, i'd like to know how much of the 360's power developers have used so far.

Gameplay is a very important aspect of video games, if not the most important factor. But breath-taking visuals, cool physics tricks, and things that make you go "wow" also add to the experience.

By the way, all the Cell processing power means shit when they PS3's RAM allocation is poor and the OS devours over 90mb of it.

Xbox 360 games will continue to look better because:

A. It has a better GPU and more RAM available to it.
B. Its OS only uses up around 32mb which leaves more space for actual game content.
C. Its easier to extract power from the system. Like seriously, which developers are going to waste their time trying to 'unlock' the PS3's power. If they code a game so specific to the PS3's hardware it wont work very well at all if they decide to port it to another console.

D. The Cell is overrated. Most of its SPU's will not produce anything amazing unless its all in unison and besides all that, GPU has more to do with graphics than the CPU incase you didnt realise which is why XBox 1 graphics > PS2 graphics even though PS2 CPU > XBox CPU.

Thats not the point, you and all the other nintendorks always come into these graphics only threads and steer it rabroad with gameplay only matters talk which wasnt the idea of the threads because you are insecure.
Even if graphics werent included in the equation, 360 and PS3 would still have some pretty awesome games to play.

Sorry, I'm just annoyed at the PS3 because the off road game I played had noticable framerate changes. If they're only using 20% they better hurry up and fix it.

I think the PS3's lack of total system memory is made up for in its bus speed. The bus between the Cell and the system ram transfers at 25.6 gigabytes/sec and the bus between the Cell and the GPU transfers at 35 gigabytes/sec.

Good job falling back on a weak ass arguement. Come back when you're ready to have an actual conversation and not some lame ass troll fest.

lol breathtaking visuals? Go take a ride in a helicopter...go visit the grand canyon...go ...shit dude you get the point...Gameplay is the MOST important thing...and thats coming from a non-wii owner.

Too bad we arent talking about gameplay in this thread.
Even 360 and PS3 owners know gameplay is more important than graphics, thanks captain obvious.

However, these systems are built for laying down some intensive visuals so theres no harm in discussing what they are capable of.

I've heard PC developers like John Carmack of id software say that cpu power is about as good as it's going to get for a while and that most improvement over the next few years will be in the video card market. We'll see how that goes. Im about done with pc games personally, I just hate having to upgrade so often.
