E816 on cricket

Other than changing the NAM settings, what else would be needed to activate an E816 on Cricket?...

What can I use to install the "flying K" logo as start up animation?
 
It's still nice to have a walkthrough... noobs don't know that all phones of a brand might program identically... I'd rather have 19 threaRAB dedicated to 19 different phones which program identically, as opposed to 50 threaRAB of noobs saying "How do I program this phone", only to be told "the same as _____ phone. Do a search, stupid"... only to find out that their search wouldn't have found anything.


We really need to refocus on being helpful... A lot of us have turned into jerks to noobs since we figured out the 6700... I'm not saying the noobs aren't partly to blame, but really, none of us would be here if it hadn't been for those before us cluing us into what we needed to do.
 
I went over a few threaRAB from 2006 from some of the people on this board. Funny the questions they were asking a year or two ago. Please be nice to all noobs. Even if they do need to learn to search, its usually easier to ask a question and get a quick answer than search and sort through 20 or 30 threaRAB with 40 or 50 pages. I know because I spend most of my time on this site searching :)

And Nick if you found the answer please reply with it for other people who might search for the same thing that is in your post or topic.
 
Now this is a different attitude... I asked the same question before, in a thread where people were talking about Cricket logo, and this is what I got:



But what can we do with this type of jerks?... If it doesn't work the first time... try again...

By the way I got the E815 to work using the same method as the V3m tutorial posted in another thread... and regarding the Cricket logo, I used P2k Commander to erase Alltel's images and ringtones and upload Cricket's... Now it works and looks as Cricket....

The last thing is the USB settings, I don't see them under connections... It does read the memory card, but it won't connect as 'mass storage' to the PC... I already tried editing the 2742 seem, but I'm probably not setting the right bits...

Does anyone have a seem 2742 backup from a E815 with the USB storage showing in the 'Connections' menu?
 
Ok, excuss me but you did hijack the thread. The other thread you posted in was about putting the cricket logo on the main page next to the cricket forum link. I was being a jerk about anything. You should have searched or posted your question IN ONE, thread (about that phone or something close to it). Thats all I was saying. I only posted that because i saw you posted in two threaRAB and hijacked one. As for Isriam, I dont mean to be mean to them, but they do need to try searching before they make a thread or ask a question that has been answered MANY TIMES BEFORE. So I appologize if i hurt anyones feelings.
 
I dont mean to be mean or come off as a jerk or *** here, but I come home to so many IM's or PM's from people with no posts at all, that took no time to search, and asking me for help or asking questions that are answered on the front page. So again, I am Sorry.
 
Thanks for the answer to the problem Nick. And yes, your previous post was not on topic to the thread you posted in. We were discussing a cricket erablem for the forums here, not for cell phones.
 
Well this is turning into a "thread hijacking" thread now...

Back to the topic, does anyone have a 2742 seem backup from a E815 with the "USB Settings" icon in the connections menu?
