e815 replacement

Hi all,
As has been posted before, the e815 is gone.

I have an e815 with some problems (check motorola sections "e815 screen problem") and will be getting a new phone in late june.

I was wondering if there is any new info on what may be coming out as a replacement to the e815. I'm not a big fan of the razrs, crzs, etc. because all the one's i've seen have a really slow ui. I like the e815s' fast Ui and it's keys were amazing. I also liked basically all its functions.

I don't really see any good replacements on the Motorola side.

The only phone that looks comprable is the LG VX8600. What do ya'll think? Good phone? Good replacement? Any better replacement's or any new phones that may be coming out in the next few months?

Thanks, Matt

I'm not in your situation, my e815 is still OK. But if I need a replacement, I've been looking at the LGXV8600. The other option is to buy another e815 on Ebay.

The 8600 is a good phone, but in my opinion, it is not an e815 replacement. The signal strength doesn't even come close, call quality is ok, but again, not on par with an e815. If you like the buttons on the e815, you will probably be disappointed with the 8600. The buttons are completely flat with the surface of the phone, although they are large. It might be just me, but I find that using the soft keys on the 8600 is very difficult. I was forced to settle on a KRZR to replace my e815 (I tried the 8500 but couldn't stand the touch buttons), and I am not impressed. Battery life isn't that great and the screens are small, but I do like the nice change in size, the e815 is huge. The buttons are also very good. They are very large and very well spaced out. Good luck

i think almost all verizon vcast phones are the same. Most have 1.3mp, expandable memory, same crappy UI, all BREW UI. the only differnce is the looks

I'd say look at the VX8300- big keys raised a bit above the surface because it's thin but not a fashion thin phone, and the UI bars can be changed. It's overall a pretty recommended phone by most.
