I have an E815 with Verizon on which I've enabled BT OBEX. I love it. I've convinced my brother to get one with his NE2 credit. Unfortunately he waited too long and now Verizon has discontinued the E815. He could get an E815 used or elsewhere, but then he'd lose the NE2 credit.

So is there a Verizon phone available now under NE2 on which BT OBEX can be enabled?? From what I can find, the V3m is being shipped with firmware that can't do it.

Is the E816 a viable option? I can't find much information on it and I don't see it available from Verizon. Has Verizon finally succeeded in locking out BT OBEX on all its phones?

Either V3c flashed to Alltel (Both FTP and OPP), E815 from VZW (FTP), E816 (FTP and OPP), E816 flashed to Bell (Java + FTP + OPP), Bell E815 (Java + FTP + OPP), or Nokia 6256i.

why go with a provider that basterdizes their phones? go with a GSM provider and get a REAL phone, or better yet, a PDA phone.

you pay a premium for a defective product, i dont understand.

I paid $69 shipped for a barely used Bell Mobility E815 that has Java and full Bluetooth, and it works flawlessly on Verizon. That's a premium price for a defective product?
