E70 Stock Issues

WHy is EVERY dealer online not have the E70. Is it really that popular that everyone is buying it?? Hve they become discontinued or something?? ANd it seems that you cant buy it online anymore. The link is no longer there to buy it by itself( No Carrier). Whats the deal??
 
I noticed the same thing myself over the weekend. What is especially strange is I spoke with the guy at letstalk last week who said he had 'hundreds' on the shelf.

might want to snag it on ebay if you can find it there, that's where i grabbed mine after waiting about a month for it come back into stock at various online stores. it never did. as always buyer beware with all ebay purchases.

you didn't mention it but when looking, look for the e70-2 version of the phone.
 
Yea sorry I forget to distinguish the two. But yes I was talking about the E70-2.

There are just some things Im not willing to buy off of ebay. Plus all the sellers on Ebay have low feedback ratings. Im a bit skeptical if they arent a powerseller or the like.




Yea Im a NY'er too. The Nokia Store is my last resort. I dont wanna fork over 450 PLUS tax for it. But I will if I dont find one in the next 2 weeks or so.

Last I went there about 2 weeks ago, the lady told me they only have 10 left and that after that the store isnt getting anymore. I asked her if they are discontinued or something and she just said no they just arent giving them anymore. Sounds weird to me. I didnt go into it any further.
 
New News,

I just called Nokia to see what the deal is with them taking it off the website. It appears as they are not selling this phone unlocked anymore. It has a carrier now. The Rep told me Edge Wireless.

if i can hold off on a new phone for six months, that would be some kind of record for me

i just wish it had more ram so you could actually multitask like the good old 6620 days.
 
Well the rep said once they sell those last few, they arent getting any more. Makes it seem as if they are going to stop selling them in the Nokia stores. Not sure about other merchants. Hopefully not.
 
I for one was VERY happy to see it in Edge's stable. You might have some luck trying some Nokia stores or distributors here in CA as Edge is really prominent in Northern California.

As for the e70, I've had mine a week with absolutely no problems. I'm not completely cell savy, and I've been able to set up pretty much every program I've thrown at it so far.

lol. Everyone I work with and my gf all think something is wrong with me because Ive had my current Pearl for almost six months...they wait for the day that I pull out a new phone so they can give me sheet about it...theyre just jealous! LOL
 
i'll agree with the posters who said it is one of the better phones they've used. my e70 should hold me over until the next generations (n95, e90) drop in price.

i wish there was more e70 talk around hofo but everyone is looking past this phone.
 
Well 've had my Razr V3 for a record 2 Years (in August). I was so happy when I got the phone, Just came out and everything. Spent 300 on it I think. Now its like.....oh a razr lol
 
If you bought a RAZR wnen they JUST came out for $300, you got a steal. The original unlocked price at launch was $900 long before any carriers had it.

The mono speaker and lack of decent media functions is another set of reasons to keep shopping. The N73 was an awesome replacement for the E70 after I sold it. I grabbed myself an SU-8W and the rest is history.
 
Oh well not JUST, I got the Black one when iit just came out. I bought it under contract too, so yea. Contracts almost up and Im thinking about switching over to Tmobile. Depends on what ATT does with its prices. Cingular is to expensive for me alone to pay.

Whats a SU-8W?? I think the Form Factor makes up for its faults.
