E65 - Setting keep changing !!

I'm not sure if this is just the firmware problem or if i don' know how to use my phone. But there are various settings that I set and gets reset every so often.

For example, my email settings are set to use wifi group called "Known Sites". But ever so often, when i click on connect, i'll notice that the setting was changed to a specific wLan e.g. homeLan.

Anyways, this happens with wLan internet as well. It's quite annoying. Just wanted to see if anyone else had this problem.

Oh one more thing, when i set my email setting to automatic retrieval, the yellow lightning icon disappears once in a while and never checks again after that.

Well if anyone knows of a solution or when a new firmware will come out. Please let me know. Thanks!

Yup. It'll also change if you're outside of your wlan area.

well, I haven't changed sims since i got the phone.

As far as going outside a wlan environment, i thought that's what the "Group WLan" is for, so that if you're out of one, it'll search for another. But when I set it for a groups, sometimes it changes itself back to single wlan instead.

I always set my WLAN enabled phones to "Always ask" for connection settings, but I can see how that'd be a pain if you're automatically retrieving email all day and moving between access points.

As for the lightning disappearing, I don't know what that is, as I've never seen a symbol for email retrieval on any of these phones, but I have a hunch that you may be running out of RAM at random times while using other applications and the phone is closing it in the background?

Nope, I run Best Task man to see what's running, and nothing that i know of is. The "lightning" symbol is actually horizontal. If you go to "Connect" in your email settings, you see that same symbol in the email tab on the top.

It may be something that even Best Taskman isn't picking up, like the automatic retrieval isn't a running application, but a phone process. So then when you open your web browser at any given time to check out engadget, it'll kill the next largest process running on your phone, whether its visible in Best Taskman or not.

Just an idea though. I could be way wrong and it could just be a bug.
