E65 Phone lock

Hey, purchased a E65 last week and I'm having problems with the phone lock.

I just noticed that the phone lock (not keypad) is enabled to lock the phone every 120minutes. I tried changing 'Autlock period' to 'none' but when I do it says 'Cannot disable autolock'

Also, I cannot change the lock code. When I try get "General system error" or "Code Error"

I ready in a thread on the nokia forums that a guy was having problems with his phone lock as well. Anyone have any ideas?

argh, I just noticed that the phone will enter into lock mode randomly, even if 120min hasn't passed.


Anyone have any ideas? Is there anyway to fix a phone lock code other than a fw reflash?

never heard of this but try format fone *#7370* i think. it will erase everything but hopefully fix your problem?

I don't think the format will roll back the phone lock code. It looks like I'm having the same problem as this person:

When I try a factory reset it asks for the lock code, wtf.

Mine doesn't autolock, but it does have a lock code set and I have no idea what it is.

No, it's a 4-digit code.

u must be thinking of like a PUK code or something of that sort..... read the instruction manual..
