Hi,

I have a few question for all e62 users.

I wanted to know how the calendar synchronization works with the Nokia E62 ? Is similar to the palm os (handheld, and desktop overwriting options)

How is the range of Bluetooth ? (before your headset starts crackling)

How is the overall Signal ? (treo 650 is quite poor)

I current use a treo 650 for phone and calendar syncrhonization solely.

I don't want email nor surf the net.

All i want is a good phone, with good bluetooth headset capabilities, with Outlook synchronization so i can take my calendar everywhere with me.

Will the E62 suffice ?

thx for any help

Hi,

If your main concern is calender synchronization and bluetooth I say forget about the E62 and stick with Palm it has much better PIM functionality then the E61/E62. The built in calender app is horrible when compared to the one on the Palm, but the sound quality and built in wifi is what makes the E61 better for me then the Treo.

It syncs just fine. The only thing that doesn't sync is the description field. Everything else syncs perfectly, and Symbian, AFAIK, is the only one with an option to auto-sync via bluetooth when you come into range. I know for a fact that WM5 doesn't, never played with a Palm.

My N73 (same OS), when I get to my front door, it connects to my computer and synchronizes contacts/calendar/todo/notes/pictures so that by the time I get to my desk, it's all there. And I don't have to touch the phone the whole time. It could be in my pocket and just does it all. THAT'S what I love.

i know its sub par to Palm, but the Treo is so poor as a phone that I'm willing to compromise the calendar synch'ng for this.
