Saw the cingular released the Nokia E62 today. Any thoughts on it? Liked the looks of it, but should i hold out for the cingular 8525? on the 8525, i just love the sliding keyboard but always wondered how well those things hold up...Thoughts?
Series 60 devices (which is what the E62 is) make much better "Phones" than Windows Mobile Pocket PC devices, so it really boils down to what you're looking to use it for. I have to say that I find S60 devices a bit more stable. My current WM5 Device (XV6700) definitely is still pretty buggy, but I love the slidout keyboard for messaging, and so far it still feels very sturdy.
I think you'll end up paying about half the price for the E62 vs the 8525 when it's finally released.
The 8525 is much more featured than the Nokia (3G, wifi, etc.). However, the E62 is much smaller and lighter and will make for a much better 'phone'. That said, i just purchased an E61 myself instead of holding out for the 8525.
