Hi everyone.

I know how much everyone is excited about the new E62i.

I don't usually talk to my buddy who works at a Nokia center, but when I seen this thread I had to give him a call. I had to pretend I was asking him questions about my Nokia N73 and I faked how I was upset at Nokia for making me spend 400 dollars on a phone with no WIFI and how I wanted a good phone with Wifi with a good camera, such as the e61.

He said "Well the good news is an e61 with a camera is out now, and it's called the e62i, and in fact I have one with me, and although the 2.0mp camera isn't impressive, the WiFI is what makes it king"

And I couldn't believe my ears...he had one and it was just posted.

To make a long story short I kinda had to beg him to send me a picture of the camera on the back of the e62i, and a picture of WIFI. He doesn't have WIFI at home (he's all wires lol) so I got me one picture of an e62i.

I know pics are already out but I think i see a box or manauls behind it:

If you look at the last picture of the phone, you can see the Cingular logo in the center.

This picture looks fake. The "i" in Nokia E62i is not aligned correctly. You can see that the camera lens is just taken from some product photo of another phone. The camera is not mentioned as a feature on the list on the box. They would have mentioned the camera there if this was an improvement from E62.

Look at the buttons alone, the new e61i has totally different call/end bottons and the back is more like the n91's.

How about putting all of the speculation to rest and posts pics of the front of the phone (a clear picture I would add, not a Loch Ness type picture where you can't make out what the object is) the menu screen and the firmware.

definitely photoshop, open the pic in photoshop(or watever) and zoom in on the nokia e62i words.. its a completely different shading to the packaging colour

SO, he made the picture yesterday. It's definitely fake!
