E61 Newb question

Is it possible to use a 4gig, mini sd card in my nokia e61

I've got a 2GB card in my E62.
I hadn't seen any 4GB MiniSD cards yet, only 4GB regular SD form factor.
FWIW, the E62's User Guide doesn't mention a maximum card size.

I have a Topram 4 gb miniSD, and I can tell you that is doesn't work on my e61. Now having said that, I haven't updated the firmware to the latest version yet.

Nokia says it supports 2GB MAX

....and in the past they used to say that the ngage would support only up to 512mb's but everyone and their mother had a 1gig in them (including me)...and they worked just fine. That being said, I dont think the E61 or any S60 supports more than 2gigs this go around. I'm hoping with phones like the N95 which are more media driven than ever, Nokia will build them with the ability to support 4gigs +.

FW update isnt going to change anything. It may read the card and show available space but it will be disfuntional and useless.!

have you tried formating it in FAT32 with 4KB cluster size???

Just tried that, and I am still seeing the "(no memory card inserted)" message running on: 2.0618.06.05
