E61 Firmware upgrade / BlackBerry issue

Hello -

I have successfully upgraded my E61 to firmware version 3.0633.09.04. I have observed many nice improvements such as dramatically faster contact lookup etc.

Prior to the upgrade, my the BlackBerry e-mail support for 3 POP email accounts worked very well (near instant push).

After installing the latest version of the BlackBerry software (6.44.3) I was able to pull e-mail from each account but it will not push as before. This is very annoying rendering the e-mail function nearly useless. However, sending mail works as before.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this will be very appreciated.

p.s. my provider is t-mobile w/internet and blackberry service ... which used to work.

i have the same phone, firmware, bb client and am on tmo and mine works just fine. maybe try resending service books from the bis site. i think that bis checks mail every 15 min unless it is a supported email host. i have gmail and it is pushed.

Thanks. Yes, I have the new BB software. One interesting point is that the "T-mobile" .sis version is much smaller than the others ... hmm.

Here is what I have observed.

When the '@' is present with the blackberry icon, I have near instant push e-mail. The problem is that rarely is present. Pre-flash, it was always there.

Another difference is usage model now is that when I go the the inbox folders, I now must explicitly "connect" ... this is different from pre-flash behavior.

Any insights will be greatly appreciated.

the sign '@' indicates that you have a new email in your inbox. What I had to do is to add "other" internet email accounts via t-mobile website for them to appear in my E61. it also had a "register" button on the web page. I also remember sending service books from the page as well. Once its done - there are no issues whatsoever.
