E61 Bluetooth Problems

I have been experiencing intermittent bluetooth problems with my E61. Yesterday I started using my bluetooth headset but no sound was coming out of it even though I was connected. I switched to handset and I could hear the conversation, then I went back to bluetooth headset and I could not hear anything.

At first I thought it was the headset but it is not. The same thing happened today in my wife's car. It is an Audi with bluetooth and when I paired it to the E61 the same symptom occurred. The call went through but no sound was coming out of the speakers.

I was finally able to fix this by deleting the paired devices and turning off the phone.

Later at night, the problem happened again and went through the same procedure again. I have had the phone for a couple of weeks and it had not happened before.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I have had the same problem. At first I thought it was my Jabra headset. But I switched headsets (another brand), and the same thing.

A lot of us are having this problem. And I do not know what to do.

I am having the same problems with my Lexus gs 300 -- but in my Honda accord (which has aftermrket Nokai CW-7) this does not occur -- anyone know why -- will there b e a fix fro this?

i dont have problem with BT as well, well, not yet... however, from experience, i am sure that the next fw will solve any bt problem... as a side note, i was expecting more of the e61 BT module, but i am a bit dissapointed... nokia needs to do more optimization, fine-tuning of the bt stack and module and the bt sw in general...

Sorry but the current E61 BT capabilities are [email protected] have the following BT devices....non of which are functioning correctly...

Motorola IHF1000 car kit....Takes @ 3 mins to connect (if at all) often no handshake occurs
BMW X5 BT car kit....Totally NON FUNCTIONAL...E61 isn't even able to see car kit....The one time it did....pairing failed.
Jabra 250V.....inconsistent handshake, actual connection intermittent
Plantronics Discovery 645 Inconsistent handshake...often have too reboot phone in order for connection to occur
HP Laptop....same problems as above

Given that BT is meant to be a standard (so that I don't have to buy a crappy nokia Headset/carkit).....this is absolutely unacceptable

I have 3 headsets - Jabra BT800; Sony Ericsson HBH610 and Motorola 850. They all work faultlessly on the E61 - easy pairing, quick connection, good voice quality. I also use a DLink DBT122 USB bluetooth dongle on my laptop and I sync wirelessly, all with no issues whatsoever.

I was having problems pairing my Plantronics 640 headset and new Nokia E61 initially, until I figured out that my problem was the fact that I had my previous phone (a KJAM) paired to my headset and in the same room. This would create all kinds of problems for some reason (inconsistent signal, pairing etc)

I unpaired the headset fromt he KJAM and paired it only with the Nokia E61, and it works perfectly.

Maybe you have other phones paired to your bluetooth in range? Try pairing it on its own...

I've paired my E61 with my old Sony Ericsson HBH-660, my Nokia BH-200, and my Globalsat BT-338 GPS receiver. No problem with pairing whatsoever. Smooth as can be.

No problems with dropping a BT connection once established either.

For the record, firmware is:

1.0610.04.04
19-04-06
RM-89

Just on the off chance of interference, I'd suggest removing any old pairings from the phone, and redoing the pairing process afresh.

I had the same problem with the Moto ihf 1000. I replaced it with the parrot 3100 and it works flawlessly. It also works great with the Plantronics 640. The only problem is I don't get any call waiting notice when using bluetooth.

I have the same problem as I have posted before. I have a Jabra BT150 and an SE HBH662. Both have the same symptoms. My observation is this happens when the memory get full. sometime back I changed the number of sent messages save from the default 20 to 200 and started experiencing the symptoms even if I use the memory card as storage. I have changed this back to 20, and started diligently to delete messages on my inboxes. So far so good. try if out and share

I purchased a Bh-200 from frys yesterday.. It paired just fine at first. Im having the volume problem, where the volume goes all the way to the lowest level. Also where the phone will tell me its paired with the BT device but the sound will come out of the phone and not the BT device.. It will work after I go into BT tools and connect via that.. It's a pain, and probably will return it today...
