E61 and Music and File transfer issues

i have tried to find previous posts regarding this issue but got nothing but N series threads, and Official E61 thread (which i gave up after about 80 pages). Hope some of you guys can help a me out.
I have been using data transfer mode for transfering music files but it takes soooo long, for one album (90mb) it took 13 minutes! is that normal? is there a faster way to transfer them? and when i transfer smartmovie compressed avi files it takes as long as 10 minutes for (55mb file). There has to be a faster way.
i have a scandisk 2gb in there speed is unknown.
I was really hoping i could use this device as a mp3 player as well... kinda disappointing...
Also is there a way to change track details of multiple files? for example changing artist name or genre?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
 
are you copying them over bluetooth? if so that's the problem. to go faster use a data cable, or a card reader. i can copy music and files using the data cable and they just zip right over in no time.
 
The absolute fastest way is to get a usb card reader (or if your pc has one built-in) and just pop the card in there and then drag-n-drop. Annoying cause you have to remove the card, but that's the fastest way.

As for editing details, I don't think on the phone you can mass-edit, but there's a billion different ways to do it on the PC. What software do you use on your PC to manage MP3s? Winamp is the best, IMO, and it'll support your E61 in file-transfer mode, it's pretty quick, tags formatted in Winamp show correctly on the phone, and it's even got an autofill feature that'll fill to a certain percentage of the total card capacity, which is really handy, and ensures you get a nice mix of music.

I was connected via usb of course, my usb driver was the problem.
I have usb1.1 and not 2.0 for some reason.
Now i'm just tyring to reinstall proper drivers for it.
Once thats fixed i should be okae.
It's odd that you can not change the track profiles on either on the phone or pc suite, gotta do it manually, was hoping there was a easier way.
