E60 Firmware Update

I've just got my E60 and the first thing I've tried to do is update the firmware on it as it's a pretty early version (April this year). I know for a fact that a newer version is available. However, when I use the software updater, it tells me that there isn't a newer version available. How do I get the software to update my phone? BTW this is a factrn unlocked, totally unbranded phone.
