E50 buttons wearing off ! pic inside

anybody esle having this problem? first what i thought was just a smudge on my 3 key turns out the paint or whatever on the button is wearing off.. in the dark the blue light shines through the "smudge" now i have a hole in the middle of my 3 key and am noticing the same thing happening on the 4 and 6 key too...check it out
 
wow that sucks. I've had mine for awhile and don't treat it special (just shove it in and out of pockets, bags, etc) and use it a bunch - no wear like yours is showing up. Do you have long fingernails that maybe scratch the keypad when you use it?

yeah it sucks and im really not doing anything out of the ordinary with it..no long fingernails.. never had this problem before with other nokias.. maybe i got one of a bad batch.. other than this im verty happy with the phone.. no bugs at all... i wonder if a replaceable keypad will surface soon.. oem only of course..
 
you know what i did clean the screen with that spray you use to clean dry erase boards.. and i remeber wiping the keypad with a papertowel with that stuff on it a few times.. i wonder if that did it... hmmmm...
 
yeah that ish is no joke some idiot sprayed it and got it in my eyes, free trip to the hospital in an ambulance and the flushing of a lifetime.
 
avoid the lawsuit just spray his phone keys...

fak that had to be it.. first i saw it on the 3 key and i used the spray to try and get the "spot" off... i just made it worse..
 
yeah just get a replacement keyboard no biggie, you might want to go on ebay and order a "cell phone" tool kit, the thin plastic popper tool makes things alot easier..I did my N70 was cake, take ur time and dont be afraid to open it up.

i was having a problem to access beyong the first page. the only way i could get to the 2nd to last page of any thread was by posting. since i am looking to buy an e50, i was desperate to view new posts. i think the problem is fixed i can click on any page number and get there.
i wasn't post whoring on purpose.
 
I wasnt accusing you of that, more just trying to figure out wth was going on ...did you see the post in pic of the day? Crazy that you knew the corner In puerto rico I took the picture from.
