E-mail on XV6700

yelp you can send with mms or use your browser and send that way. You can also receive all of your email such as yahoo through mms by setting up filters and having your email fowarded to your phone.

Not sure if POP3 works as I haven't tried that, but here are the steps I used to setup my Exchange sync:

1. Open Outlook
2. Menu > Tools > Options > Outlook E-mail

From here, I just typed in my company's server address, my username, password, and the domain. When I hit finish, it dialed my WAP connection, showed a screen that said it was synchronizing for a couple of minutes, and then I had my e-mails on my phone. It looks like Push set itself up automatically.

I'll try setting up a POP3 connection later today and will post the outcome. I'd imagine it'd be similar to both of yours, but it's worth a try.

anyone know how to send a word document to an email address? i tried sending it as MMS but it said file not supported.

would anyone have suggestions on the best way to send a days worth of work (lanRABcaping specifically), properties visited, type of work performed, etc. from an xv6700 to the "mother office" so it can be put in the system and invoiced?

any help is appreciated. thanks!

rename the file's extension to like .jpg or something similar and then send it
put as a note the file extension must be renamed to .doc or what ever to be opened.

i just got my Gmail and AOL mail working and sent to my phone. so far i can only get it to work through WiFi (which i dont have at home, only dial up). it doesnt really do me any good though except its a little faster to check it this way when im in a WiFi area. i can still just go to aol.com or gmail.com to check/send mail.

it is a nice feature to have though.

if you follow every step between what microsoft.com and aol.com(for aol users like me in the stone age since '95) say, you will be fine. just dont expect it to work on the cricket dial out.

I'm guessing it's because the pop3 filter port isn't proxied... if we could figure out how to modify the proxy for the pop3 filter we could set it up to work through wap.

Lol, ive given up on cricket and email for now. I just set up my 7100i to be my Boostberry and everything works. Data, chat, email, and i love it. $20 for 3 months is awesome too!
