My husband bought E-85 by accident for our lawn mower. (Now I know why I had problems with it last season) He didn't tell me about it till right after I put the left over gas into my car! Now I have about a gallon of e85 in my Honda accord with the rest of the way filled with regular. Should I have the tank drained or will it be okay? Thanks!

Your car is fine while its true ethanol is corrosive and it will deteriorate the gas tank injector o-rings fuel lines and the injector pintles. Now having said that your car will be fine with a mixture of up to 10% ethanol most gas you find these days is already mixed with up to 10% ethanol your car will be fine just drive it and fill it up like you normally do and your car will be fine dont worry about it

E-85 will eat away certain gaskets, diaphragms and O rings in the lawn mower. The alcohol content (15%) is what does the damage.

For the time being, feed your car a tank or two of 93 octane fuel. Don't bother or worry about having the tank drained.

It should be ok, it may run a bit crappy, but then just keep topping the gas off, till that E85 is mixed in better, and thinned out due to more gasoline in there.

smart people do not use it for anything since it does not produce good fuel mileage its just cheap fuel only a few cars able to run on it and they dont run better than regular.. one tank of it wouldnt hurt anything shouldnt have the tank drain no need too
